The base is hand forged iron with a simple tripod form and scroll feet. Theres slight variation in the shaping the kind that comes from hand work, not factory production. Its solid, well balanced, and made to last. The top is painted metal, not marble. Over time it has been repainted, worn back, and exposed again.
