Ballechin 'Straight From The Cask' Bordeaux 2007 / 11 years old 60.2% Angels' Share Glass distilled in 2006Distilled at the Edradour distillery near Pitlochry on the 16th of May 2007, this heavily peated whisky has been matured in a single French Bordeaux cask for 11 years. The aroma is slightly medicinal, before moving on to a rich combination of caramelised dark fruits and a background of herbal peat smoke. The fruit flavours come through on the palate, before a burst of farm yard peat smoke takes over. Bottled at its natural cask strength of 60. 2%,
