I wanted an ironic juxtaposition for the song

and especially new wave/pop music

even though it's not really reflective of the rest of the oeuvre

Zero 7-inspired 'Red Dust' Art Print Stairway to Heaven This great Manic Street Preachers'Red Dust' wasn't a single from Zero 7's amazing album Simple Things, but it's amazing like the rest of the record. It's an instrumental, so no lyrics to work with, but naturally 'red dust' made me think of 'red planet', which took me immediately to the Barsoom novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
