Formed, they are then hand painted and, after applying the glaze, fired at a temperature of over 1,250 degrees Celsius. The high firing temperature and under glaze painting make these vessels heat resistant and perfect for serving and storing food. The decorations are applied under the glaze and therefore the ceramic dishes can be washed in automatic dishwashers.
