Antique Belle Epoque Victorian Amethyst Paste Locket c. 1870 georgian_ring This lovely long silver chainThis stunning gold locket hails from the Grand Period (1861 1885) and features a beautiful amethyst paste (glass imitation) which is securely set with a halo of crown prongs and inlaid with a gold forget me not flower embedded with seed pearls. Pearls were often used for remembrance as part of mourning jewelry as they represented tears. The interior of the locket has a hinged glass partition which can be used to move the glass from one side to the
