Created from objects found along the shoreline of Lake Michigan

After I'd placed all of the various pieces onto this layout

but what I eventually learned is that the whitish~lighter pieces would often fade into the background of the white paperboard that I was using

so I turned my attention to composing this piece with objects that represented meaningful things I wished for him as he worked through the process

not everyone makes it to their final destination

They often don't look like much when I pick them up off the sandy beach, but when taken home, cleaned up and positioned under some good light, those contoured shapes and creamy, beige, off white colors carry some real depth.
