Not quite sure where the inspiration was coming from, I just knew I wanted it to be a culture and hair on canvas piece! Looking at this one as well as the live painting piece, they looked like fraternal twins but with faces that looked 'modi' which means 'rude or brazen' in creole. That reminded me of a Dominican saying we would say as kids when we were upset with our siblings,
