HL Leonard Model 38-4 Bamboo Fly Rod 7' 2/2 #4 12' though I suspect it was

though I suspect it was a RHW originally

The blued Swiss-style ferrules are size 16/64

and a 6" detachable extension handle with detachable rubber button

with a bit of mild hand soiling to the grip but there are no ferrule wrap cracks and very little brassing to the inner guides

Good working condition but has rim rash on the bottom of the frame and scratches to the counterweight and oil port cap

HL Leonard Model 38-4 Bamboo Fly Rod 7' 2/2 #4 12' though I suspect it wasA nice H. L. Leonard Hunt 38 4 model bamboo fly rod, 7', 2 piece, 2 tip, and built for a #4 line. Serial #80162 which I think puts this just post Maxwell (all of the parts appear to have been made during Maxwells tenure). Mint condition. Crisp dry fly action. The nodes have been pressed, not belt sanded and the ferrule oxidation is pewter, not the later full black. Best of all the tiger maple seat is one of the ones I baked in the oven for two days
