Mid Century Swedish Kilim by Ingegerd Silow trolleys A very unusual and interestingIngegerd Silow was a 20th century Swedish visual artist who also designed kilims. Sweden has a long tradition of kilim weaving which reached its climax in the mid 20th century when a generation of designers and weavers produced kilims in abstract and geometric designs which were compatible with Scandinavian furniture and decoration. Silow was one of that generation. This piece is interesting in several ways. Rather than geometric figures, the design
