The smooth brass reel foot is original and un-filed

The slide is detached from the nut to allow easy dismounting of the reel and is stamped "Aroner

The tube was owned by fly-fishing advocate and author of "Trout"

Orvis Box with Carded Flies from the early 1900s!! 5' This particular rod for saleFor sale here is a great collection of early Orvis carded flies. Twenty three flies on nine printed Orvis cards. The box measures 3 3 4" X 6 1 2". The flies and cards are in excellent and unused condition. The box is in very good condition with some edge wear.
