Velvets can also be used for shading and detail work. If Velvets are glaze over, the colours intensify. Thin with distilled water if necessary. Blood Orange is a fiery tangerine color at Cone 05 which intensifies under a clear glaze. When fired to Cone 5 and Cone 10, it becomes slightly darker.
