They seem to be enjoying the surrounding scenery, perhaps after having a nice boiled egg for their breakfasts! I believe this may have been made in 1912 judging by the hallmarks. The top of the egg cup is rimmed with hallmarked solid silver making this an unusual and what would have been a very luxurious item in its day (and indeed still) The figures are similar to those in
