I painted this at the same time I painted the "Arizona Moonlight Saguaros" If you look at them both you'll see the similarity in the color palette

The original Desert Sky Mountains was inspired by the time I've spent doing shows and exploring the southwestern desert landscape

The changing aspen leaves were a sharp contrast against that piercing blue sky that seems most vivid with the coolness of the season.
