Close Call — Gallery Canvas waves and the Peace River countryA Canada Lynx in full charge along a snow covered branch, snarling, every muscle extended a ruffed grouse feather still drifting in its wake to the left of the frame. The watercolour is from 1990 and represents Glen working at the peak of his technical powers: the lynx's winter coat painted with the same fine brush patience he brought to his quieter portraits, but the animal now in violent motion, the composition crackling with energy. Glen understood
