ALICE'S SALAD BOWL DRAFT comfort and function to theBased on the shape of a favorite vintage piece in Alice Waters's kitchen, this hand finished salad bowl is made from some of the most precious wood available: sustainable, salvaged redwood. Waters chose redwood as a material because it is exceptionally lightweight, but also very durable, and resistant to the rancid oily flavor that can develop in wood bowls after frequent use. It also reminds Alice of the beloved, ancient redwood tree that grows in
