but it gave me the feeling that I wanted to portray in this painting we ended up spending about six or seven eight days back in this area sleeping on a ground mat under the stars and throughout that time there were these moments all week long night and day that continued to inspire me more and more and as I began to take in all of the beauty in this area I just knew that I had to paint something from this experience

but in a way I feel driven to uncover the unknown and discover untold stories

leaving behind a sea of what looks like toothpicks and dirt
