The method for decorating it is called Sgraffito. Black underglaze was painted on the exterior, then I used a sharp tool and free hand design to strategically remove parts of the black layer. Then after a first kiln firing it was glazed with clear glaze and fired at a much higher temperature. I love the chaos (no rules!) and freedom that are integral to organic
