mtg final fantasy aerith gainsborough (Borderless) (Surge Foil) typically moving 1 FOIL Aerith Gainsborough (Borderless) from

Aerith Gainsborough gets stronger when you gain life to match her role as Final Fantasy VIIs white mage before spreading that power among her allies when the card dies, an homage to not only one of FF VIIs most iconic moments, but one of gamings most well-known scenes

Spells like Transpose capture the abilities of specific jobs (in this case, the black mage's transpose ability) and uses the mechanic rebound to cast it again (the ability's cooldown)

It is the potential value and slightly better defensive capabilities that make Vital Force good but different

In some decks getting to six is as good as getting to ten but in others the difference is very real

The set and decks all release on June 13th, 2025
