None of the new places and settings are planes in the multiverse and they have no bearing in MTG's story
You could probably beat some mono-white pile with Sanctifier since none of their other cards matter, but the fact it just shows up as the cherry on top of one of the best decks in the format that already presents a ton of other issues and can freely recast Sanctifier off Lurrus of the Dream-Den is a bit too much to handle
Theyll struggle to remove a 9 Willpower character with a hefty Strength unless they have good removal and hes out of Medusas range

Syr Gwyn notably works quite well with cheap Equipment cards with high equip costs, as this commander allows Equipment cards to be equipped to Knights for zero mana, ignoring equip costs entirely
Swapping in the Spirit Dragon Teval, the Balanced Scale gives you a neat ramp package when attacking, letting you mill three cards and then get a land from your graveyard back to play
