There's a ton of ramp in the deck, more than I'd usually recommend, but if we look at the type of card draw we're working with -- lots of Clue generators like Tireless Tracker -- it makes more sense that we'll need more mana to crack them

For a control deck or spellslinger deck, this is functionally better by baking the card draw in, and its also a lot harder to remove

One powerful tactic is board wiping and then using a discarded Sangan to fetch another card after sending everything to the grave

The goaded bird tokens that it makes are a really neat way to force your opponents to just shut up and play Magic (read: attack), though you might wind up helping players that want sacrifice fodder
